OpenStudy (hotpinkgirl):

use integer values of x from -3 to 3 to graph the equation y = -|-x|

OpenStudy (freckles):

|-x|=|-1*x|=|-1|*|x|= see if you can simplify this further

OpenStudy (hotpinkgirl):

A.

OpenStudy (hotpinkgirl):

B.

C.

D.

OpenStudy (hotpinkgirl):

is it B. @freckles ?

@amistre64 @Data_LG2 @sleepyjess

OpenStudy (freckles):

well I hoping you would answer my question above ? And then when you figure out that |-x|=|x| then you would see your graph is just the graph of y=|x| reflected about the x-axis since your equation is y=-|x|

OpenStudy (freckles):

So yes you are right and you can even test points to see if works for your graph,

OpenStudy (hotpinkgirl):

thanks : )

OpenStudy (freckles):

For example find a point on f(x)=-|x| f(3)=-|3|=-3 is (3,-3) on the graph you think the is?
