Which numbers belong to the range of the relation {(0, –1), (3, 6), (–2, –1), (–4, –4)}? Choose all answers that are correct. A. –4 B. –2 C. –1 D. 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mehek (mehek14):

do you know what range is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (freckles):

so you no longer need help given you know what range is @dezz_theoffical101 ?

Mehek (mehek14):

you just look at the graph, find all the ranges, and see which ones are in the answer choice

Mehek (mehek14):

since you know what range is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its confusing like i know what range means but not on this

OpenStudy (freckles):

do you know how to find the y-coordinates of all the pairs given?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (freckles):

I'm not exactly sure what set of points I'm to look at. But anyways the y-coordinate is the second number of each ordered pair

OpenStudy (freckles):

for example the range of {(0,4),(-1,5),(-5,6),(1,7)} is {4,5,6,7} Notice the range is the set of y-values of your points given

OpenStudy (freckles):

(x,y) is called an ordered pair the x represents the x-coordinate the y represents the y-coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh sio it would be c?

OpenStudy (freckles):

you don't think there would be any other answers from the choices given? Also I'm assuming I'm not looking at the picture you posted and I'm looking at the set of points you initially posted?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (freckles):

so we are looking at the picture and not the points you listed?

OpenStudy (freckles):

so you see one the y-coordinates as -1?

OpenStudy (freckles):

can you tell me the y-coorindates for each of the following points? (2,2)? (-2,0)? (-1,-2)? (-4,-3)?

OpenStudy (freckles):

the x-coordinate is the first number of every pair the y-coordinate is the second number of every pair

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2,1,4 ? @freckles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait its b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. {–3, –2, 0, 2} B. {–4, 4} C. {–4, –2, –1, 0, –2} D. {–4, –2,–1, 2} these are the options

OpenStudy (freckles):

so far you haven't told me the second number for these pairs: (2,2)? (-2,0)? (-1,-2)? (-4,-3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2,0,-2,-3

OpenStudy (freckles):

yes and as we said before the range is the y-coordinates of the points given

OpenStudy (freckles):

the y-coordinates are the second numbers of these points given

OpenStudy (anonymous):

soo its A?

OpenStudy (freckles):

if the picture is the thing I'm suppose to be looking at yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):
