OpenStudy (alurahenderson):

As a more general observation, the birds you listed have a common ancestor: the early reptile, and all adapted from a similar species into their unique forms, based on habitat, diet, predators and soforth. For example, the Pelican has a wider beak/bill compared to some of the other birds because of its marine-based diet. OpenStudy (barreraa):

i think it does does it @floridagal

OpenStudy (alurahenderson):

most of the birds on your list are passerine birds (perching birds), so they will be more closely related to each other than to a species that is not in Passeriformes, a big order within the class Aves (birds).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes thankyou so much! :) @alurahenderson yes it does :) @barreraA

OpenStudy (alurahenderson):

Okay great! You're welcome! :)

OpenStudy (barreraa):
