MEDAL & FAN how are the rhetorical features of The Declaration of Independence different from those found in the Bill of Rights? I've really been having trouble with this assignment. I've been working on it since Friday, and I only have this last question left that I just can't answer for the life of me. Could some please help and explain??

DoI author was Thomas Jefferson with some revision by the rest of the committee and congress as a whole. Jefferson was one of the youngest in congress at Philadelphia. Most everybody else was working on getting supplies to Washington and other work. Jefferson had written other similar documents and everyone agreed he was capable. The DoI is a masterpiece of logic. It stands out for it's rhetoric as well as it's place in history. The Bill of Rights is mostly the work of Madison. He was a master of simple rhetoric in writing (very shy about public speaking). His great work is the Constitution. Not only the ideas in the Constitution but the back ground negotiations and persuasion was Madison's contribution. Most the States ratified the Constitution with the understanding that the Bill of Rights would soon follow. Madison wrote the first 12 amendments. 10 where passed and became what we call the Bill of Rights. Because they were originally 12 different pieces of legislation, cut to 10, they lack the cohesion of a single document like the DoI. They are in the order that they were ratified by the states. Not really coordinated by a single author or editor.
