OpenStudy (hysusonic):

what do you think the answer is and why?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its c because you keep adding them until you hit 16,000 but im not sure if its right

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

well first you have to add the total amount of sales that happened in the first and second year so that would be \[225,000+547,000\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

=772,000 right

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

yup and what do you think we have to do next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 186,000+202,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide the sum by 2 or no?

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

well you right the first time but you don't divide by 2, you subtract the second value from the first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

202,000-186,000=160,000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait not 160000 16000

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

no i meant after you ad 202,00 with 186,000, you subtract that sum from the first thing we got so it would be 772,000 - the sum you get

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooooh

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

so what'd you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-756,000

OpenStudy (hysusonic):

no it would be 772,000-388,000 so you gotta find out what that equals

OpenStudy (anonymous):

334,000
