A strawberry plant is an example of a plant that can reproduce through the process of vegetative reproduction. Are the offspring of the strawberry plant genetically identical or genetically different from the parent?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Genetically identical ive had this quest before

OpenStudy (anonymous):

In asexual reproduction or vegetative reproduction, the parent organism produces offsprings without meiosis and fertilization. The offspring inherits all DNA from one parent. They are genetically identical to each other and their parent. Speaking of strawberries and vegetative reproduction, strawberries have long stems called stolons. Wherever a stolon touches a ground it produces roots, this provides growth to a new plant irrespective if the stolon is broken off from the parent plant. When this occurs, every plant that grows from a stolon is genetically identical to the parent plant

right so there genetically identical
