OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Use this eqn to find cost: Cost * markup = price

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? can u help me through the steps

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Sure, follow the first step that i wrote above plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the cost is not shown tho only th selling price and mark up rate we got to find the cost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

59.83

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cost? 59.83?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sdfgsdfgs

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

sorry got distraced. good u got the cost....although my calculator says its 59.82...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 17.95 nut it says it wrong

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

u may want to check n see if the cost comes up right. Once u get the cost, the markup = price - cost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whta does 17.95 round up to

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

i got 17.95 too...did the Q say round to 2 decimals or what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to the nearest cent

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

ooooooo im so sorry @fani1996 the eqn should be cost * (1+markup) = price im so sorry!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how do i write that 59.82x (1+17.95

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i am confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they want the mark up

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

No, it should be Cost * (1+1.3) = 77.77 then calculate the cost. Markup = price - cost

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

Do the calculation n I will double-check for u :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it gives me 17.i95r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

17.95

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):

No, I am sorry @fani1996 the eqn should now be Cost * (1+1.3) = 77.77 Note the (1+1.3) part and re-do the cal plz

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idont get it im confused i give up
