What effect did Rome's expansion have on its economy? (4 points) It hurt citizens who lost their jobs to cheaper labor that was available from newly acquired land. It hurt small farmers who could not compete with large farms that were bought after expansion. It hurt merchants who no longer had a reason to travel on trade routes and sell their goods for money. It hurt the government because new lands were difficult to control and maintain without a large enough army.
A or B?
@EclipsedStar @confluxepic @inowalst
i'll be back in a minute
The expansion helped Rome. That would be a positive thing. But all your options are negative. @Shadow_of_Krusenstern
I agree that it is either A or B. It's not C because Rome didn't have full access to the trade routes. It's not D because Rome had a huge army, which is why they were able to acquire such amass of land.
i think more towards B but mother think more towards A
Well the people that Rome captured were slaves...hmm...
Slaves are basically free labor.

I don't think B.
