What is produced by the process of meiosis? A. four haploid cells B. two haploid cells C. four diploid cells D. two diploid cells
will give medal
@butterflydreamer
oh i just did this topic not too long ago.
ok so you can help
D
Sorry A *
what? I'm confussed
@butterflydreamer
what don't you understand?
D. four haploid cells

what everyone just keeps giving away answers and it's so confussing @butterflydreamer
do you know the stages in meiosis? have you read about it in your text book or online?
yes but everyone just keeps saying the answer and it conffuses me
lmao okay! do you want me to explain the different phases in meiosis and give you annotations or?
yes and explain the answer to me please
that will help me alot
alright i'll give you a run through and then i'll send you an image . So these are the basic stages of meiosis: Early prophase : This is where the chromosomes separate out into homologous pairs Late prophase: The nuclear membrane breaks down. Chromosomes split into chromatids. Crossing over occurs : genetic variation occurs. Metaphase I: Chromosomes align in pairs in the middle of the cell. Random segregation occurs here. Anaphase I: Chromosome pairs separate and each chromosome moves to the opposite end of the cell. Telophase: Two daughter cells are formed and the chromosome number is halved. Cytokinesis I : Daughter cells are not identical to each other and have half the original number of chromosomes. Metaphase II: Chromosomes align at the equator of the cell. Anaphase II: Chromatids (the "arm" of the chromosomes) move apart, to opposite poles. Cytokinesis II : The result is four daughter cells that are NOT identical to each other and they each have half the original number of chromosomes. We call these haploids. Here are some screenshots from my notes. It's way easier to understand it in these pictures :) http://prntscr.com/6x88v2 http://prntscr.com/6x89e0
ya I know tho's it's the answer part poeple keep saying it's that not that no that not that and it's just so conffusing
it's D .-.
that is the only part I am froze on
lmao so you know what it is? tbh if you get confused, just look at the screenshots from my notes ^_^ It's way easier to see what's happening in meiosis and i included one which shows both meiosis and mitosis
ok but poeple say D no A no D it's CONFUSSING
yah loll. go with what you know! So final answer is?
so it's either A or D
that's what it's going to be one of the two
did you read.. anything i wrote? lmao......
yes
A or D
so you should know the answer :) What is produced will be what is formed at your last phase. so concentrate on the last phase and look at the images. do you see four or two cells? then did i say they were haploids (half the number of chromosomes) ?
A or D is one of the answers
right
wait.. we can choose two? O_O
no it's one of the two
A or D
yes then yes it is..
one is right one is not
yep....
it has to be A
:dies:
correct. good job
thanks
:)
