Oh lol this is what they want ok
lets find our slope first
that site didn't start with any of those. or I just don't know what I'm doing or how that site works.
\[\frac{ y2-y1 }{ x2-x1}\]
plug in the number values
isn't the slope -6/6 ?
Yeah simplfy it
this website is lagging for me so sorry if the replies are slow
its ok :)
simplified it's -1?
Major lag T_T yes thats right now the point slop equation is \[y-y1=m(x-x1)\] We know our slope is -1 what is y1? what is x1?
y1 is 3 and -8?
No there is only ONE value for each \[(x1,y1) (x2,y2)\]
no sorry I meant y1 is 3 and x1 is -8
Yep now plug them into the formula \[y-y1=m(x-x1)\] m=-1 y1=3 x1=-8
y-3 = -1(x- (-8))
right and a negative next to a negative turns into a postive 8
once you have that you will know your answer :)
yes forgot about the negative. (again sorry the lagging is really bad for me), but yeah I have my answer :). Thanks so much for your help
No probs its lagging for me too :(
