A wind began to blow, and he shivered. With all his strength he tried to hold and to understand the mood that had come upon him. In that high place in the darkness the two oddly sensitive human atoms held each other tightly and waited. In the mind of each was the same thought. “I have come to this lonely place, and here is this other,” was the substance of the thing thought. Which word best describes the style of the story?
Are there any options?
colloquial formal informal I don’t know.
Hi Welcome to Openstudy @ThatOneLibrarian and @Adrian_oso_arogant ! :) Maybe the first thing that we should do is to know the meaning of each choices using Mr. G. and according to him: • colloquial: used in ordinary or familiar conversation; not formal or literary (in other words, this is a story that is not published. For example, making up stories out from nowhere and you are telling it to other people) • Formal: from the word 'form' means structure. Does the passage has a specific elements/format? • Informal: Same thing with colloquial but some examples of this are anecdotes, fables and those kind of stuff. So from these definitions, which one do you think is the right one?
I choose formal
