female reproductive organ of the flower

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A flower's "female" parts consist of: - a stigma, catches the pollen - a style, pollen transmits the pollen to the ovary via pollen tubes - an ovary, contains ovules - an ovule, which is where the pollen combines with the egg and an embryo is formed. I believe a flower may be able to have multiple ovaries and ovules.

OpenStudy (zairahernandez):

Male: Anther {makes the pollen with the sperm inside} Filament {holds up the anther} Stamen {Name for the anther and filament together} Female: Stigma {sticky thing that gets the pollen} Ovule {holds the egg} Ovary {protects the egg} Pollen Tube {where the sperm travels down into the ovary}
