Solve the problem by using the quadratic formula. Write solutions in simplest radical form. 2x^2 – 2x – 1 = 0

OpenStudy (welshfella):

for the quation ax^2 + bx + c = 0 x = [-b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4ac) ]/ 2a

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so here a = 2, b = -2 and c = -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx, I'll se if that is right. Im now very good with the quadratic formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah pretty much what @welshfella said

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I wrote that out and got 3 +/- sqrt 9-20 is that right so far?
