What is the equation of the line expressed in slope-intercept form? Can someone explain to me how to do this, I have such a hard time with graphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graph

Nnesha (nnesha):

slope intercept form is y =mx +b where m i s slope always with x ;) and b is y-intercept

Nnesha (nnesha):

y-intercept on the graph is where line cross y -axis's slope = rise/run how if line is increasing then you should have positive slope if line is decreasing then slope should be negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The y-intercept is -2?

Nnesha (nnesha):

nope y-intercept is where line cross Y-Axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry I meant regular 2

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep that's right now you find slope how many unit is rising and left ? from y-intercept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Where am I trying to get with the rise and run?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to the 8?

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1429917353745:dw| start from y-intercept
