Medal The daily adult dosage for a particular drug is 30 mg/kg. How many grams of the drug should be ?g
take into account that there are 1000mg per gram
Hey there
And take into account 1000g is 1 kilogram.
do we need to convert kg to g?
So, when you say 30 mg/kg, that is trying to say: 30 milogram/kilogram. @arturos : That's what I'm thinking.
*milligram*
so we only need to find the amount of 30 milligrams in gram correct or do we also need to convert kg to g
I dunno. She's not replying. Let me try this: @harz360 That should call her.
yes so what are we converting
That's what were asking you.
because i think that they are only asking for g/kg rather than g/g
does it matter what we convert first?
I don't think so.
Units of Length Units of Weight Units of Capacity 1 in = 2.54 cm 1 oz = 28.35 g 1 L = 1.06 qt 1 m = 3.28 ft 1 lb = 454 g 1 gal = 3.79 L 1 mi = 1.61 km 1 kg = 2.2 lb 1 fl oz = 30 mL
@harz360: What do you mean by the ? in your post: How many grams of the drug should be ?g This is what I'm reading in my browser - did you miss out a number there, or is it a fault with my browser?
this shoud help
No I don't believe it's a fault. That's what I'm reading right now.
@GeniousCreation : Thanks for the verification. @harz360 : Please clarify the value which is supposed to be there. Thanks.
@harz360 maybe take a screenshot or pic of your question and post it here... ? I'm also not sure if the question is complete like what shiraz is saying.
this is the question i copied and pasted it The daily adult dosage for a particular drug is 30 mg/kg. How many grams of the drug should be administered daily to a patient weighing 231 lbs? ? g we want it in grams
now it makes sense. you missed the "administered daily to a patient weighing 231 lbs"
@harz360 : That seems to clarify things a lot (like what Data_LG2 mentioned) ... :) So, you'd first convert the 231 lbs to kg - then multiply by 0.03 to get the amount of drug in grams to be administered.
so convert 231 lbs into kg then multiply it by 30 mg/kg. The product will be in mg. Then, convert mg to g by using 1000m = gram oh shiraz already explained. :) I'll leave it to you guys now
can any1 please help me on my question below this one? please?
there are a lot of people in here
@Data_LG2 : Didn't you mark me as best response?
can anyone please help me
@harz360 : What do you need help in? There's a blank space below your post above.
i need help on the below question
that i posted
Follow either one of these methods (which is pretty the same): \(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @shiraz14 So, you'd first convert the 231 lbs to kg - then multiply by 0.03 to get the amount of drug in grams to be administered. \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) or \(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Data_LG2 so convert 231 lbs into kg then multiply it by 30 mg/kg. The product will be in mg. Then, convert mg to g by using 1000m = gram \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\)
