Which postulate proves that triangle abc is congruent to triangle cde?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1430016464631:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

meant abc and cda

OpenStudy (rational):

take a screenshot and attach

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@rational i uploaded it

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

well if the whole shape is a parallelogram then opposite sides are equal and then we can make a conclusion but we dont know that...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right so based on what we know, would it be the fact that the diagonal is going corner to corner would that mean that its symmetric property

OpenStudy (rational):

Hint : Only one of the options is a triangles congruence postulate

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

only one of them is a postulate at all lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well is it the angle addition postulate?

OpenStudy (rational):

nope, it has nothing much to do with congruence triangle postulates

OpenStudy (anonymous):

was i right about symmetric property?

OpenStudy (rational):

nope, again it is not a congruence triangles postulate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait but didn't u tell me that only one is a triangle congruence postulate?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is it the SSS property because we are assuming it is a rhombus?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i am just guessing now .........

OpenStudy (rational):

Here are most frequently used triangle congruence postulatea http://gyazo.com/0ae9dceb6859f4d5d319f6adaeb598e2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh so i was right about sss? But how do we know the sides are congruent? It didn't tell us it is a parallelogram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why did u message me the answer????

OpenStudy (rational):

good question, the question is not exactly about proving the triangles in given figure are congruent it is more like identifying a "triangles congruence postulate" from other postulates/theorems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just curious>

OpenStudy (rational):

i messaged u the link right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no just that it was sss, never mind

OpenStudy (rational):

this link http://www.mathwarehouse.com/geometry/congruent_triangles/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but it asks which of the following reasons allows him to answer this? If it cant prove it how can it allow him to answer him?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it mustve come out wrong
