You use the slope formula which is y2-y1/x2-x1
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so it would be 3-1/-3-5?
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
yes, but change it so the y is on top because it's rise/run which means y/x
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so would it be 2/2?
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
and it would be -3-(-5) OR just -3+5 because thats what happens when you subtract a negative

let me check
OpenStudy (anonymous):
which would give me 1 if i simplified that correct?
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
I believe you may have done it wrong
OpenStudy (anonymous):
What step did i do wrong?
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
y2-y1 would mean you do the y value from the second point minus the y value from the first point

and the same goes for x
OpenStudy (mrnood):
-3 - (-5)
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
it should be -3-(-5)/1-3
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so i should get -2/2?
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
yes

eeyup!
OpenStudy (lexluth0r):
And I guess that's the graph of the line. Thanks, @MrNood
