Do you have answer choices?
No I don't, we have to answer the questions but can you help me @dman2597
I found a website that looks like a good source if you want me to post the link here
Okay and does it answer all the questions?
It answers the first one. you're not really supposed to post more than one question per post anyway lol
http://afroamhistory.about.com/od/civilrightsstruggle1/tp/The-Civil-Rights-Movement.htm Here is the website
haha really well can you help me with the others then?
I can't find anything for the second one but the third is here > The Cold War began as World War II was ending. American leaders saw the power and ambitions of the Soviet Union as a threat to our national security. The Cold War was a war of words and ideologies rather than a shooting war, although at times the Cold War turned “hot” as in Korea and Vietnam. Basically, the Cold War was a rivalry between the United States as leader of the western democracies, and the Soviet Union and the nations that were controlled by the communists.
Nothing good for 4 either :/

Which part do you want me to explain?
everything please how and why did american race relations change as a result of world war II? What allowed the Civil Rights Movement to flourish in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s? What was the role of political or demographic shifts? What was the role of the Cold War? What was the role of concerns about America's international 'image'??
It's best to post one question per post So let's start with WWII The war require a massive mobilization from the US. Every part of society was affected, including race relations. Black men were needed as well as white. Black families were as important to the home front as white. The entire population was either being moved around the country or being exposed to people from other parts of the country. Add to that, the fact that we asked people who had been treated as second class citizens to shoulder the full share of the war. Blacks, Indians, Hispanics even Japanese immigrants fought and died in the war. When they came back, they wanted to exercise their full rights as citizens. Many of the old school folks wanted to just go back to the way things were. That wasn't going to happen
okay
Your second question's answer just continues that story. Veterans and their family's expecting to enjoy full right as a citizen. Through in the power of radio and the emergence of TV. Everybody having more money than they have had in a long time. And more people of every group going to college because of the GI Bill and people begin to organize to demand full rights.
OKay I get it so far
can you continue
I'm back. I'll find were I left of and continue.

Politics. Throughout the 1800s into the 1900s the Democrats were the party that supported slavery. Lincoln was Republican and many presidents after him were Republican. All the positive aspects of the Civil War and then Reconstruction came from Republicans. Blacks, when they could vote, overwhelmingly voted Republican. Racists attitudes were found in both parties but generally speaking, segregation and Jim Crow laws were supported by Democrats. When FDR was president, the New Deal improved the lives of black and white. Black votes followed. The war further broke up old political alliances. The DixieCrats, Democrats who wanted to keep segregation and old ways, eventually found that there conservatism fit better in the Republican party. So the Republicans got the smear of being racist and the Democrats became the choice of most minorities.
okay I get so far
