How was transportation in the 19th century linked to the concept of Manifest Destiny? (1 point) Transportation improvements such as canals enabled crops to be traded between states more readily, which strengthened ties between North and South. Transportation improvements such as canals led to more exports of perishable goods, which resulted in extending U.S. influence to Canada, Asia, and South America. Transportation improvements such as refrigerated cars allowed for crops to be shipped without spoilage, which fed the Forty-Niners during the Gold Rush. Transportation improvements such as the railroad led to lower prices and easier shipping, which allowed people to expand to the West Coast more easily.

In the Beginning of the 1800's more exploration of the United States began to take place. People began to move more out west. Manifest Destiny beckoned many people later in the 1800's (mostly struggling farmers, freed slaves, and soldiers that fought in the civil war). These people hoped to find the promise of American prosperity in the Western part of the United States.
hope that helps
soo b?
Refridgerated cars didn't come around until 20th century. No railroad went to California in 1849. Transcontinental RR didn't happen until 1860s
If B is what you got from that you are correct
Manifest Destiny is all about expanding to the West Coast. It's the one that refers to reaching the West Coast.
D
That would be my choice.
