Explain how hereditary diseases are passed from one generation to another help
question for you what is a 'hereditary disease' based on?
What are you thinking so far?
you got to really think on that subject because Hereditary diseases are passed from one generation to the next through the human gene structure called DNA. Children have very similar gene structures to their parents, so traits, appearance, and diseases are often passed from parents to children. so now you know it means passed down through the family (: HOPE THIS HELPS AND WELCOME TO OPEN STUDY (:!
@timbo5lice your explanation is good, but it is not 'human gene structure', it is just DNA DNA contains 2 strands and genes are the regions on stand that code for protein Gene structure is totally different thing, and its same for all humans. @kaetlyn.2 a hereditary diseases is a genetic diseases, it passes down to next generations because when male and female make gametes/sex cells - they pass on information to gametes, and then when fertilization occurs, gamete cells fuse together and their genetic material from each parent too fuses together and zygote is formed thats why the baby has similar genetic material to their parents. but concept of genetic disease passing from parent to kid is a bit more complicated that you might think it is. If you need a more advanced answer to it, i'll explain in more details.
