A. People like George Whitefield were New Light preachers. Whitefield would preach loudly and passionately, causing anger amongst the Old Light. The Old light believed in very rational and traditional methods of preaching (monotone, written sermons, etc.). Whereas, New lights often memorized their sermons and spoke them with excitement and passion rather than monotone.
