take your 2 points and find the slope by using the slope formula slope(m) = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1) (4,5)....x1 = 4 and y1 = 5 (-2,-3)...x2 = -2 and y2 = -3 now we sub slope(m) = (-3 - 5) / (-2 - 4) slope(m) = -8/-6 slope(m) = 4/3 now we use y = mx + b form slope(m) = 4/3 use either of your points...I will use (4,5)...x = 4 and y = 5 and since we know the slope(m) and the points (x,y)...we need to find the y int (b) now we sub y = mx + b 5 = 4/3(4) + b 5 = 16/3 + b 5 - 16/3 = b 15/3 - 16/3 = b -1/3 = b so your equation for this line is : y = 4/3x - 1/3 unless you need it in standard form.....do you ??

OpenStudy (danieke):

No i dont,Thank you so much

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

anytime :)
