ok i dont get how can you play tennis could be said in two ways. Nǐ huì dǎ wǎngqiú ma? Nǐ huìbúhuì dǎ wǎngqiú?
@dareintheren
okso there can basically be two ways (or more) to ask a simple question. the first one uses "ma" that is used at the end of a question for example "do you want this?" ni yao zhe ge ma? the second one does not include ma but instead the "hui" (that component of whatever sentence) includes a "bu hui" which basically means can you play tennis for example" do you want this?" ni yao bu yao zhe ge?
not sure if i answered it clearly enough haha
ok so like saying do you have any hobbies? Nǐ yǒu shénme àihào? and the second one would be Nǐ yǒu shénme àihào ma?
correct! sorry for slow reply
it ok so if im trying how to say whats your favorite food how would you say?
shenme shi ni zui xihuan de shiwu
and to say it another way it would be shenme shi ni zui xihuan de shiwu ma?
or no?
I wouldn't put ma at the end of that sentence but it probably would still work.
Ok If u start a question off with shenme then you don't need ma, it would sound very odd so don't put that
I guess to help you if a questions goes in the line of what do you. . You don't need it but that's not to say there isn't, and if do you .... then yes you should put the ma but it really depends on what your sentence is composed of. What I'm saying here is not concrete
Agreed.
