The slope of diagonal PQ is _____ , and its equation is _______

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope is 0,2 , its equation is y=2???

Nnesha (nnesha):

PQ what kind of line is that ? horizontal vertical ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Horizontal, I posted a picture

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes i know :-) ;=P so horizontal slope would be 0 a horizontal line has a slope of 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the 'diagonal' slope is 0?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep slope of PQ line is 0 but "diagonal" word is confusing me :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I think its just there for every question.. So whats the equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

equation is right y = 2 y = mx + b slope =0 y intercept where line cross y -axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would I type (0,0) for the slope of just 0?

Nnesha (nnesha):

because line is horizontal so slope is m = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The equation of the graphed line in slope-point form using the point (2, -1) is , and its equation in slope-intercept form is .

Nnesha (nnesha):

use slope formula and that two order pair on the graph to find slope

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\huge\rm \frac{ y_2 - y_1 }{ x_2 - x_1 }\] formula to find slope replace x & y values by order pairs \[\large\rm (x_1 , y_1 )(x_2 ,y_2)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=x/4-3/2 for my slope intercept equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y+1=1/4(x-2) as my point slope equation

Nnesha (nnesha):

:-) yep!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yay!

Nnesha (nnesha):

YAY!!! yahO_O!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Theres so many of these that I don't get. I'm the worst with graphing.
