i took a test that had 120 Q's. How many Q's could i expect to have gotten right if I guessed on all of them?

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

Well, it depends if they were multiple choice or written. If they were multiple choice (four options) you might expect in the range of 25% If not........ well, good luck :}

@SydtheKid913 it's a question that my teacher asked (Assuming i took the Test). I took a test that had 120 Q's. How many Q's could i expect to have gotten right if I guessed on all of them? What is the probability of getting at least thirty questions right by guessing on all of them ?

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

Ooooooh that make much more sense. :D you're ratio on a multiple choice (four option) test would be 1/4 so just apply that to the amount of questions and you should be good :P

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it depends on the type of questions on the test ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So like (120)*(1/4) ?

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

wow look who decided to show up!

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

yeah I think it would be something like that for instance a twelve question test would be 12/4 so most likely 3 correct answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you so much @SydtheKid913

OpenStudy (amistre64):

spose we had 10 tf, 13, 3 options, 2 essays, and a 5, 4 options ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

oh, and a pick all that apply

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

^^ .-.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

10(1/2) + 13(1/3) + 2(subjective) + 5(1/4) + 1(something)

OpenStudy (sydthekid913):

did they specify what type of test questions??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not really but the previous question had 5 possible answers. I am not sure if he wanted me to use the previous question to answer this question. :/

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i think he wants you to think critically and assess how you would determine a solution; but thats just my view of it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64 and how would i do that? i have been stuck on this problem for a while.
