Is the group of words a simple sentence, a compound sentence, a run-on sentence, or a sentence fragment? The panda lives in Asia and devours bamboo. A. compound sentence B. sentence fragment C. run-on sentence D. simple sentence
What do you think?
d
Sorry I wish I could help but I forgot what all those are lol
A simple sentence has the most basic elements that make it a sentence: a subject, a verb, and a completed thought.
see this link: http://examples.yourdictionary.com/compound-sentence-examples.html it should be a compound sentence because it combines the two things with "and" it is not a fragment because it contains all the necessary information it is not a run-on sentence, because again, it contains all and only all the necessary information it is not a simple sentence because a simple sentence would be "The panda lives in Asia." Or "The panda devours bamboo." does that make sense?
sorry, i forgot to include the reasoning for why it is not a run on or fragment fragment would be like this: Lives in Asia and devours run on would be something like this The panda lives in Asia devours bamboo does that help?
Simple sentences do not have conjunctions.
Now, what do you think the answer should be?
d
