start with the point B (-1, -4). Reflect the point through the y-axis. What are the new coordinates of the point B’? Now reflect the point through the x-axis. What are the new coordinates of the point B’’? What is the relationship between the original point B and B’’? Can you describe this in terms of one reflection?

@Agl202 can you help me please ?! i dont understand at all

A reflection in the y axis is the negative of the x coordinate. Therefore, b' is (1, -4). A reflection in the x axis the negative of the y coordinate. Therefore b'' is (1,4). If you compare point b (-1,-4) and b''(1,4), you'll see that b'' is the reflection of b along the line y=x. |dw:1431050693341:dw| Thus, b'' is the inverse of b.
