Read the following lines and answer the question that follows. MERCUTIO Help me into some house, Benvolio, Or I shall faint. A plague o' both your houses! They have made worms' meat of me: I have it, And soundly too: your houses! What is the significance of the diction in this speech? Mercutio expresses that he is upset Romeo has married Juliet. Because he has been hurt, Mercutio speaks angrily about Tybalt. Mercutio belongs to neither house, and he curses them both. Before he dies, Mercutio clarifies that he supports the Montagues. I think it's C.
I believe it is C as well. He doesn't sound like he's clarifying support to anyone, or complaining about wounds or people, but it sounds like Mercutio is cursing both houses
