I want to believe that when you say "displace'', you mean plates diverging. When this happens, a fault is created that reaches the mantle and due to formation of convection currents, lava is obliged to come up to the surface to cool and solidify. this also includes volcanic action

It doesn't cause volcanoes. Faulting is massive rock movement within the earth's plates or crust which cause massive cracks in rocks. When rocks begin to crack or (separate) along a fault, they sometimes send out a small movements which result in earthquakes.

So in my language displacement means sliding, which makes plates leave some cracks as they laterally get in contact and the energy is high enough to originate earthquakes. @MasterprojectHD
