@tylermcmullen23

OpenStudy (welshfella):

for a right angled triangle c^ 2 = a^2 + b^2 where c is the longest side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

No - are you guessing? because 11^2 is not equal to 8^2 + 6^2 11^2 = 121 and 6^2 + 8^2 = 36 + 64 = 100

OpenStudy (welshfella):

try B 13^2 = ? 12^2 = ? 5 ^ 2 = ? add the last 2 results and see if they equal the first if they do then B is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b is the answer?

OpenStudy (welshfella):

I think you are guessing Work them out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B is the answer!!!

OpenStudy (welshfella):

grab ur calculator and find what 13^2 is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5^2+12^2=13^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

169=169

OpenStudy (welshfella):

25 + 144 = 169 yes

OpenStudy (welshfella):

good B is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CAN U CHECK THIS???

OpenStudy (welshfella):

9^2 = 4^2 + x^2 x^2 = 9^2 - 4^2 = 81 - 16 = 65 x = sqrt 65
