I dont get it at all.
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
this one is the same as the last...which side u having trouble w?
OpenStudy (lizz123):
I don't get at all
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
just like last one, 2 tri n 3 rect right?
OpenStudy (lizz123):
Will one of the triangles be 60

OpenStudy (lizz123):
And yes it will be like the last one
OpenStudy (lizz123):
So I am guessing that Triangle 1=60
OpenStudy (lizz123):
one of the rectangles is 110
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
nope in this case, the height of the triangle is given as a separate dimension...but u can calculate it using the same formula b*h/2...
OpenStudy (lizz123):
So how do I do that?

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
ahhh i think i see where u have trouble - the 8 mile length is for the red line...
OpenStudy (lizz123):
yea that is what I am have trouble
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
n the red line would be the ? of the triangles?
OpenStudy (lizz123):
so do I have to use the Pythagorean theorem
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
nope u just need to find the area of the triangles....their base is 12 and their height is....

11?
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
look again plz? O^O
OpenStudy (lizz123):
It is 8
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
guess those glasses O^O help :P
yes, 8 is the height....all set for now or need more help?
OpenStudy (lizz123):
Do i multiply 12 and 8

OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
area of triangle = b* h / 2
OpenStudy (lizz123):
WHich is 48
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
correct n x2 cuz' there are two triangles...now onto the rectangles...look carefully n u should be all set!
OpenStudy (lizz123):
SO triangle 1 and triange 2 is 48
rectangle 1=132
rectangle 2= 110
rectangle 3= 100?
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
110 is right n need to check the other 2 plz

OpenStudy (lizz123):
so would one of the triangles be 80
OpenStudy (lizz123):
i mean rectangles
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
nope...the red line does not show in any rectangle
OpenStudy (lizz123):
But 12 and 11 is a rectangle which equals 132
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
oooooo sorry yes, 132 is right....

n the last rect area is....
OpenStudy (lizz123):
110
OpenStudy (sdfgsdfgs):
BINGO :) u got it!
OpenStudy (lizz123):
thanks
