OpenStudy (a1234):

How do I calculate the radius of a circle with (-3,4) for the center and which contains (2,2). I get √29, but I'm not sure.

OpenStudy (freckles):

you use the distance form for the two points given

OpenStudy (freckles):

formula*

OpenStudy (freckles):

so what you have seems great

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

( x - a)^2 + (y - b)^2 = r^2 is the general form of the equation of a circle

OpenStudy (a1234):

Ok, I just seemed a bit confused because I was expecting to have problems with perfect square roots :(

OpenStudy (freckles):

nope not all answers end up cute :p
