Anyone in Virtual Florida School? Need help with 5 questions
No, but maybe I can help.
ok! Ill post my first one
Which sentence shows the correct verb mood usage? We were being in the grocery store. My mom recommends that he get a cart before going in. Go telling your friend to get a cart from the front of the store. If you wanted the better deal, you should be arriving when the store opens.
We're gonna rule out some answers. So, which one sounds the weirdest?
A and C?
Yes, yes. So, you have B and D. My mom recommends that he get a cart before going in. If you wanted the better deal, you should be arriving when the store opens. So, if you don't know grammar rules correctly, then both sound weird, right? Read the first sentence. "He get" might sound a bit out of whack. But if you change it by adding s at the end or change it into past or past participle, then it will still not work. So, what sentence makes the most sense?
D?

Language Arts 3?
@caldwelllayna Yeah
Hmm. If you (wanted) the better deal, you should be (arriving) when the store opens. Wanted and arriving... "Wanted" shows that they used to want, but "arriving" shows that they are arriving. Unless there was a dimensional time warp, that can't be right.
oh so its B i think
Yes. If you are confused, this is why you are right: HE GET isn't grammatically correct UNLESS someone is telling someone else. EX: I told him to tell her that Sally recommends she steal a dollar. Why is it that he ran from me?
