ok what do u want me to do?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

Help me with some question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok what are they?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

what rights of people were being violated and why did Paul feel personally responsible to respond?

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

So basically the Paul be the main character in that movie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well I've never sent hat movie

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok so

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

can someone help me with it

OpenStudy (cutiecomittee123):

I have never seen it

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

I saw it last year, I remember bits and pieces of it. where the two sides fight and all, right? with the family to imported somewhere else or something like that

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

basically their rights Tutsi, of removing them from the area. It was the Hutus against the Tutsis. It became a massacre, the Rwandan genocide. Paul has a Tutsi wife, and he is a Hutu. They have three kids and he owns a hotel. Tutsis came to him for shelter knowing that his wife is one also, and would be willing to provide the help. U.N. tried to help, but they pull out once things escalated ( I think). So Paul, having the refugees in his hotel, feels responsible for them. can you go on from here or do you need more?

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

let me know if you need anymore help

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

anyway thnx

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

welcome, if you haven't watched it. I actually really recommend you to do so because it is actually a really good movie. made me cry

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I already watched it thou

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I quite confusing but a good movie

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

A*

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

yeah it is

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok so this me the answer of my question right

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

be*

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

I have to go soon, because my computer has to update, so if I log out all of a sudden that's why. I will be back to look at it in a few mins once it does

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

yes it should be pretty close to the answer. If I was you I would kind of reword it for however you want it, and maybe make it more clear and add things you want

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok so

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

The rights of Tustsi people were being violated like the Hutus people want to remove the Tustsi people from their area. So basically it was the Hutus against the Tutsis and also it became a massacre, the Rwandan genocide. Paul has a Tutsi wife, but he is a Hutu. They have three kids and he owns a hotel. Tutsis came to him for shelter knowing that his wife is one also, and would be willing to provide the help. U.N. tried to help, but they pull out once things escalated. So Paul, having the refugees in his hotel, feels responsible for them. His level of personal responsibility as event unfolded was really good because as he grew within his work place as well as a human being. He had started out by just caring for his loved ones but shortly it turned out he had the responsibility of taking care of anyone that he could.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

so basically i wrote this thing for that question

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

i wouldn't say "... Tutsi people..." I would say "..Tutsis.." like this I will fix it for you, to make it sound better

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

what rights of people were being violated and why did Paul feel personally responsible to respond? How would you characterize his level of personal responsiblity as events unfolded

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

this was the question thou

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

The rights of Tutsis were being violated because the Hutus wanted to remove the Tutsis from Rwanda, cleansing the area of the minority of the Tutsis. They were able to tell who was who, just from the different appearances between the Tutsis and the Hutus. Basically it was the Hutus against the Tutsis and it became a massacre, known as the Rwandan genocide. Paul has a Tutsi wife, but he is a Hutu himself. They have three kids and he owns a hotel called Hôtel des Mille Collines. Tutsis came to him for shelter knowing that his wife is one also, and would be willing to provide the help. U.N. tried to help, but they pulled out once things escalated too much. Paul having the refugees in his hotel, feels responsible for them, knowing that he could help them. His level of personal responsibility as event unfolded was really good because as he grew within his work place as well as a human being. He had started out by just caring for his loved ones but shortly it turned out he had the responsibility of taking care of anyone that he could.

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

added a little bit and changed a couple of wordings

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

but is this answer ok for that question

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

are you there

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

yes it is

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

can I ask one more question if you don't mind

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

@dancing_stars23

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

yeah sure! sorry got distracted lol

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok np so question is What can we learn about the rights of others and about personal and collective responsibility in the case of the Rwandan genocide?

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

hmmm this is hard

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

well okay so the Hutus didn't really like the Tutsis because they were different from them, right? so how do you think we can learn from that

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

so basically we learn that not every single person in the world is nice and also that there are some bad people in our life which is yours responsibility to make them nice and the main basic thing we that everyone has to be equal

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

maybe of kind of like that things

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

hmmm maybe more around the lines of Everyone is created equal, and so we should treat others as they are. We have to respect other people, no matter what they look like, where they are from, what they believe in, and who they hang out with. Not everyone in the work is a good person, but we should try out best to replace those who aren't. Like Paul from Hotel of Rwanda when he took care of the Tutsis, even though he didn't have to, when the Hutus were after them. maybe something more like this

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

but what they mean by the Rwandan genocide

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

im not understanding this ^^^^ the question is asking what can we learn from the genocide and i'm pretty sure the answer answers it. because we learned that the hutus didn't like the tutsis because of how they look and treated the different because they weren't a hutu. And this kind of ties this to us, how we shouldn't treat any other person different whether if they are whit, black, Asian, Spanish, etc...

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

that's right

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

the last question be Who is accountable for the actions and inaction of the media? What should we expect from the media; how can we hold them accountable?

OpenStudy (dancing_stars23):

oh shoot idk this one

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ok np

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Option for the Poor and Vulnerable A basic moral test is how our most vulnerable members are faring. In a society marred by deepening divisions between rich and poor, our tradition recalls the story of the Last Judgment (Mt 25:31-46) and instructs us to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first. More on Option for the Poor and Vulnerable

OpenStudy (quickthing):

It is our responsibility as a society to help those in need, regardless of their ethnic background.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

but they are talking about the catholic society teaching not about your

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

ours

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

6. The Catholic Social teaching principle of the option for the poor teaches us about the option for the Poor and Vulnerable. So basically they tell us that a basic moral test is how our most vulnerable members are faring. In a society marred by deepening divisions between rich and poor, our tradition recalls the story of the Last Judgment (Mt 25:31-46) and instructs us to put the needs of the poor and vulnerable first. It also teaches us that it is our responsibility as a society to help those in need, regardless of their ethnic background.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I wrote it like that is it fine thou

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

@quickthing

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

@quickthing

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Yes it's fine

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

are you sure na

OpenStudy (quickthing):

yes

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

can you plz help me with one more question

OpenStudy (quickthing):

Sure

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

I am confuse with it thou

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

thnx

OpenStudy (quickthing):

You're welcome.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

who is accountable for the actions and inaction of the media? What should we expect from the media; how can we hold them accountable?

OpenStudy (quickthing):

The government.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

so basically you are saying that the government is accountable for the actions and inaction of the media

OpenStudy (quickthing):

The media did nothing but make a show of the tragedy that was taking place in Rwanda, instead of urging society to take against the atrocities that were taking place in this troubled country.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

oh ok

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

so i wrote : 7. So basically the government is accountable for the actions and inaction of the media. But the media did nothing special instead of making a show of the tragedy that was taking place in Rwanda, in its place of urging society to take against the atrocities that were taking place in this troubled country.

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

@quickthing

OpenStudy (mtalhahassan2):

if u find any grammar mistake then plz let me know
