OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

How would you solve this equation?

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

\[\frac{ 4 }{ x+1 }+\frac{ 2 }{ 3 }= \frac{ 6 }{ x-1 }\]

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

take terms contain x one side and number other then take LCM and cross multiply

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

2/3= 6/(x-1) - 4/(x+1)

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

ok let me try

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

I get \[\frac{ 18(x-1) - 12(x-1)}{ 3(x+1)(x-1)}= \frac{ 2(x-1)(x+1) }{ 3(x+1)(x-1) }\]

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

now cancel denominator on both side and open braket

OpenStudy (fanduekisses):

so it's just 18(x−1)−12(x−1)=2(x−1)(x+1)

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

yes open bracket left side and multiply right side
