Read the following sentence from Jack London's White Fang: The unrest of the dogs had been increasing, and they stampeded, in a surge of sudden fear, to the near side of the fire, cringing and crawling about the legs of the men. Based on the context of the sentence, what is a surge? A running pace or gait A significant feeling An automatic response An upswelling or rapid increase
I think B or D
Google "Surge"
Hmm, this is tricky. Because it says "in a surge of fear" this might hint at some kind of emotional response. What do you think?
I asked for help not google, and I already did
And I already know what surge means, I just can't decide which one
I am guessing more of B because upswelling means to swell up..?
Well I didn't know what it meant so I googled it and found what it meant, then I decided what answer.
Okay, well, I'll give a guess and we'll see if it's right, yes? Hm, I would guess B, but who can tell. Since fear is a "significant feeling".
But with an attitude like that, I'll keep to myself..
Don't mind iYuko... I think they're having a bad day. ;)
I would go with B as well. And Yuko this is a site for live help when we have nothing i want you to know that most users here dont want google they want live help from people, sorry for you taking it the wrong way, but it gets annoying. so many people tell me to google it and stuff
But thanks @IReallyCouldUseHelp
:) No problem, I hope it made sense.
I was just telling you to find out what the word meant.
You didn't state that you had already googled it.
