Need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the value of p in the equation 4p + 3(p + 4) = 12p + 12? 12 1 0 −1

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

okay, so here you would just distribute

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

like so: 3(p+4) = 3p+12

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

so you would have 4p+3p+12=12p+12

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Then you would solve it just like I did in the previous problem :) @AliSurfCat can you figure it out from here, or would you like some more guidance?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me try but can you correct me if I do something wrong

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

sounds good :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It looks like 0 is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Am I correct

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Yes, 0 looks correct :) lol sorry, i was checking my work :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can I get medal for trying

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay I got a 80% they were correct

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

4p+3p+12=12p+12 7p+12=12p+12 -7p -7p ----------- 12=5p+12 -12 -12 --------- 5p=0 p=0 \(\checkmark\) Nice work! And yes, we can medal each other :)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

\(\ddot\smile\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks for all your help

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

No problem :)
