OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

State whether the given measurements determine zero, one, or two triangles. A = 80°, a = 24, b = 50

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

@TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

i dont even know where to begin with this one ; ;

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I don't really know how to explain this question either, but I found this: If you are given two sides and the angle opposite one of them such as a , b , and angle A , then If A <90 degrees then: If a < bsinA, then no solution If a =bsin A then 1 solution (right triangle If bsinA <a<b, then two solutions If a = b, one solution (isosceles triangle If a>b one solution If A>90 degrees then: If a>b one solution If a<= b no solution ~ https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080804154329AA1gdUS

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

ohhhh k thank you i see

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

so then since after using the law of sines i get that B is equal to 197

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Read what I posted, also your answers don't care what the value is for them :p

OpenStudy (jennyrlz):

since b is 197 and the total degree of a triangle is 180 that means there is no triangle that can be formed with this :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Yup that is the correct answer :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@jennyrlz you could also use this to makes ure :p http://www.mathwarehouse.com/triangle-calculator/online.php http://prntscr.com/772e80
