Please help me, I will give medal in return. Ok so i need a little help with understanding The Atom: From Philosophical Idea to Scientific Theory Apply. It is a little confusing, I just wanna try to solve this first problem so i can see if it will help me with the rest. Which of the following has four significant figures? a. 1.003 b. 4.1 c. 12.567 d. 1.2 x 10^4

) ALL non-zero numbers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) are ALWAYS significant. 2) ALL zeroes between non-zero numbers are ALWAYS significant. 3) ALL zeroes which are SIMULTANEOUSLY to the right of the decimal point AND at the end of the number are ALWAYS significant. 4) ALL zeroes which are to the left of a written decimal point and are in a number >= 10 are ALWAYS significant. Rules for sig figs.

1.2 x 10^4=12,000 Because there is no longer an decimals, that is only 2 sig figs, do it's not D

ok i guess that make sense \, so then that means the answer would be "A" It has two 0's and two no zero numbers plus the decimal point.
