How would I go about solving this. I have no idea what it means by "turning point" and am thoroughly stumped. In your lab, a substance's temperature has been observed to follow the function T(x) = (x + 5)3 + 7. The turning point of the graph is where the substance changes from a liquid to a solid. Explain to your fellow scientists how to find the turning point of this function, using complete sentences.

I'm in Algebra II.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

its defined for you already ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

liquid is hotter than solid right?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

other than that, ive got nothing to go on.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I need to find the exact point on the graph that's the turning point.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually, technically i says to say how to explain to other scientists.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

although if you want to go the route of showing the turning point, ( graph.tk ) is a great website
