Simplify this expression. 6x2(3x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do distributive probert first

OpenStudy (dahlindubs11):

Well lets start off with 2(3x)... that is 6x. then do 6(6x)= 36x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is that \[6x ^{2}\left( 3x \right)\] ?

Then what you would do is multiply the parts: 6*3 and x^2 * x When you multiply variables (x) in this manor what happens is the exponentials add together. You can think of this as x^2 and x^1, so they would add together to become x^(2+1) So your answer would be: 6*3 x^(2+1) Do the math and you have your answer.
