@audicolen The formula for the foci of an ellipse: F = sqrt(a^2-b^2) where a is half the length of the major axis and b is half the length of the minor axis). F is the distance from the origin to the focus (remember that there are two, one for each side of the ellipse!) Each of the foci will be on the major axis. This is kinda hard to explain without drawing it out, hold on a sec.
