Fan and medal! Please help? How do you calculate volume, mass, density, length and temperature in the metric system? Give Units for each. What are the metric prefixes and compare them to base units?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well density mass and volume are all related by the equation: D=m/v

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

@redbeardd Ok then, what are the units?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mass is grams, volume is liters, density is g/L

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

@redbeardd ok! What about temperature?

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

@redbeardd By the way is the way I calculate length is l*w*h?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, for temperature of a gas: use the equation PV=nRT. P = pressure in atmospheres V = L n = moles R = moles•atm/kelvin•moles T = Kelvin As far as length, idk. but l•w•h would give you area wouldn't it?

OpenStudy (nerdy_3000):

ok! Yeah it does give you area. @redbeardd
