OpenStudy (kitten_is_back):

which one do you think is you answer love/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (kitten_is_back):

why do you think your answer is d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cause no matter what i tried that was the closest i got and it sounds logical to me

OpenStudy (kitten_is_back):

okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i'm right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All of the sides of a cube are equal. Thus to find the area you just find the side length and cube it. What you haeve now (196) is the arae of one side of tje cube and is not correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would i have to multiply 196 by 6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

WHere did you get this 6 from?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[V=s^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the cube there are 6 sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

s=side length, not # of sides. And there are six FACES on a cube, which is irrelevant to this question since we are looking for volume, not surface area.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sooooo, what is the length of the side?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

14 mm.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And what is 14^3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not 14*3, 14^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[14^3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hello?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry some old guy is picking on me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 14 to the 3rd power?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2744

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Boom, that's your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No problem :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

message me i'll tell you what was going on.
