OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

can anyone explain how to do this?

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

Nnesha (nnesha):

n = next term (term that you need to find so start with 2 a_1 = -8

Nnesha (nnesha):

\[\huge\rm a_2 = a_{2-1} + 6\] 2-1 = 1 \[\huge\rm a_2 = a_{1} + 6\] a_1 = -8 so replace a_1 by -8

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

so a_2=a_1+6

Nnesha (nnesha):

:-)

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

a_2= 14??

Nnesha (nnesha):

how ?

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

noooo

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

-2??

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

sorry haha

Nnesha (nnesha):

it's okay :-)

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

and then I keep plugging them in right?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes for 3rd one 3-1 = 2 so plug in -2 for a_2

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

4?

OpenStudy (heyitslizzy13):

hey thanks so much!! (:

Nnesha (nnesha):

yes right :-) my pleasure! :-)
