What was Andrew Jackson's perspective on the McCulloch v. Maryland case?

He basically detested the outcome (Maryland won) and did not favor the US banking system afterwards.

How about for Gibbons vs. Ogden Supreme Court? He didn't like that either right?

OpenStudy (surana):

Yeah, I believe he didn't like that one either.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know why? I know that he didn't like it because he thought the federal government shouldn't be involved an economic activities, and that state laws should've been put in their own borders. Am I wrong, or am I missing something? :)

OpenStudy (surana):

That's pretty much about why he didn't like it. He felt that it wasn't the government's place to do things like that.
