If a line with a slope of 4 crosses the y-axis at (0, 1), what is the equation of the line? y − 4x = 1 y + 4x = 1 x − 4y = 1 x + 4y = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you know how to do inverse operations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so you need make those answers look like the slope intercept form y = mx + b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

srry my tab closed

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so lets take y -4x = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we need to move the -4x to the other side to make it match the slope intercept form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you would use inverse operations so since the 4x has a minus sign in front of it you would add it to the other side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the equation would look like y = 4x + 1

@micheal05 u there? lol
