The graph below plots a function f(x): graph of line segment going through ordered pairs 0, 50 and 2,100 and extend beyond 2,100 If x represents time, the average rate of change of the function f(x) in the first two seconds is _______.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the graph

Can someone please help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Kamizamurai ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is it you need help with?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need all the help I can get! I have to be done by 9:15 and I still have lots of questions left!

OpenStudy (amistre64):

your timetable is irrelevant since this is a study site.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first two comments

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the graph is already plotted, or am i miss reading it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes its already plotted

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what is the slope of the line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The question is: If x represents time, the average rate of change of the function f(x) in the first two seconds is _______.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Pardon me I'm terrible at math... :(

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im not typing it again ... what about what i mentioned is not making sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, my computer froze... Wait a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Gosh... Wait a few more seconds I'm reviewing slope info... My brain isn't working quite right tonight...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind...

OpenStudy (amistre64):

slope is a basic concept, it is the measure of the change in 'y' with respect to the change in 'x' y changes from 50 to 100; a change of +50 x changes from 0 to 2; a change of +2 what would you say the slope is ?
