A set of equations is given below:

Equation C: y = 6x + 9
Equation D: y = 6x + 2

How many solutions are there to the given set of equations?


A. One solution
B. No solution
C. Two solutions
D. Infinitely many solutions

seems unlikely that you could add 9 to a number, add 2 to that same number and get the same answer
doesn't it?

What are the two slopes to the equation?

You could do this a few ways, another way is to graph the functions and see whether or not they are parallel lines (no solution), coincident lines (infinite solutions), intersecting line (one solution)...but note all of these have the same slope, so that's not a good way to justify an answer.
