Can someone help me with 7th grade math
Can you make the screen shot a bit clearer? Which question are you working on?
yeah
The one with jamie
Okay, i can help with this :)
bye
so, Were looking for the number of baseball cards. First, we have to know out of how many jamie pulled out, what fraction of that was baseball cards. We can find this by adding how many baseball cards and football cards jamie recorded. Using this, what do you think the fraction would be?
um would it be 6/60 *9/60?
Well, we need to find how many of the ones she/he pulled out were baseball cards, so it would be 6/15. Jamie pulled out 15 cards, and 6 of those are baseball cards. Does this make sense?
But werent there 60 cards how do we get 15?
\[\pi \]
Oh nevermind you added 6 and 9
Yes. so, now we have 6/15 because we only know how many baseball cards were in the amount jamie pulled out.
Yes
So, we need to figure out how many baseball cards are in the full stack. What times 15 equals 60? (Were basically doing the opposite of simplifying, were increasing it to make 15 have the same denominator as 60 :) )
\[\pi \]
4
Exactly! Great job! Now, what you do to the bottom you have to do to the top. So, 6 x 4 equals?
24
Yep! So, our new fraction is 24/60. So, in the 60 cards that jamie has, 24 are baseball cards! Great job @nerd_3.14 !!
So then whats the answer to the prroblem?
Nevermind im slow today got it thank you
No problem! Great job @nerd_3.14 !!
